What about the OOP in php5.0?

As far i have used PHP, i didn't get the real flavor of OOP in PHP5.0.
One of the strongest feature of OOP is ploymorphism. It can be used by method overriding. But in PHP we cannot use method overriding efficiently or like as JAVA. So, the requirements of polymorphism is not sufficiently fulfilled here. One more thing is about package in php. Package cannot be used in PHP as like JAVA.

Last but not the least, Is it necessary to use OOP in PHP developing Website??
